Cleaning Boilers From Scale
Cleaning boilers from scale is necessary in order to preserve their maximum energy efficiency and performance. Cleaning of boilers is divided into chemical and mechanical, sectional and ultrasonic. Let us discuss the specifics of each method:

  • Chemical cleaning is performed by arranging circulation of an acidic agent using special booster pump. After several hours of circulation, cleaning agent is drained, and the system is rinsed with a basic solution for neutralization.

  • Mechanical (sectional) cleaning of the boiler is implemented, if it is so blocked with scale and deposits, that no normal circulation may be arranged. The boiler is dismantled and washed bundle by bundle separately. Each tube is cleaned either mechanically using brushes or sand blowers, or by high-pressure water jet.

  • • The state-of-the-art method for cleaning boilers and protecting them against scale is to equip them with antiscale ultrasonic devices «Acoustic-T» capable of eliminating scale and solid deposits formation of any kinds on heat exchange surface of the boiler. Why should you distress yourself by expensive washing of the boiler and pollute the environment by poisonous fluids drained to the sewage system, if you can equip your boiler with «Acoustic-T» device, and your boiler will stay clean for years, if not forever?

We are frequently asked: could we install «Acoustic-T» device on a dirty boiler so that it would be cleaned and protected against scale in future? The answer is - yes, you can, if the scale layer on the heat exchange surface is at most 1 or 1.5 mm thick. However, if the scale layer in the boiler is thicker than 1.5 mm, you should better wash it with acid first to avoid big pieces of scale circulating in the boiler. It is a different matter that you can combine boiler washing with ultrasonic treatment by antiscale devices. If you install "Acoustic-T" device to the boiler prior to washing, ultrasound will split old scale and thus save your time and quantity of chemicals for washing, and, at the same time, will increase its efficiency.
